JOHANNES & NICKY DU TOIT
Johannes & Nicky are the pastors of East Kilbride Vineyard Church. Nicky was born in England and soon after moved to South Africa with her family near the coastal city of Durban. There she attended a church from a young age. Johannes was originally from Cape Town, South Africa and came to know Jesus in 1999. They met at a church meeting in Cape Town and were married 4 years later in Durban. Together they relocated back to Cape Town where they had their 2 children. They got involved in leading the church youth group and joined the worship team.
Johannes and Nicky share a love for music. They are often found leading worship together or watching live shows. They recognized the call on their lives and felt a drawing to the UK early in their marriage. After a lot of prayer and waiting they moved over to the UK in 2012 where they hit the road running and started serving in a local church. In 2017 they had their 3rd child and were aware of the stirring in their hearts towards church planting. After completing a one year course in 2019 at the Leadership Academy, lead by Catalyst Vineyard Church in Aberdeen; they went on the journey, as a family, of making East Kilbride their home and starting a brand new Vineyard church in the town.
As a family they enjoy travelling, being adventurous, listening to music and playing various instruments. Their love for food is always coupled with good company and laughter.
